Happy Fearless Friday!
Today’s video is a bit of a reflection of the last 12 months and a look forward at ‘where to from here’.
The two stand out achievements that I’m proudest of are my book – How to succeed in business
And my course –
Step by step Budget and Cashflow Forecast using Xero.
I’ll put some links in the comments so you can check them out.
My biggest takeaway from being in business is that you’ve got to look after yourself first. Health and fitness, sure, but also to nourish your soul. You’ve got to have something you do just for you.
If you’re not putting yourself first, and I mean this in a totally unselfish way, if you’re not looking after yourself body and soul, then you can’t possibly give your best to anyone else. And your family and loved ones deserve your best. YOU deserve your best.
I actually worked this out a few years ago when I was about 3 years into my business and realised I didn’t do anything just for me. So I tried lots of different things and still do the ones that worked. I also thought a lot about what my dreams were and reconnected with them. I’m lucky, I’ve found ‘my thing’, it’s writing. But I also did the work to figure it out and create the habits and space to support me to have the time to actually ‘do’.
If you don’t know what your thing is, if you feel guilty for taking time for yourself, then I give you permission to find out.
Project Bloom going forward is going to focus more on nurturing and supporting and encouraging each other. On Creativity and finding ‘your thing’. On ‘doing you’. On sharing the productivity tips and time savers that work. On letting go of guilt and giving you permission.
And if your thing, like me, is writing, then you’re going to love what’s coming because my next series of trainings and courses will be writing focused. Blogging, social media (how to make all the pretties), how to come up with ideas and practical tips and training and support.
Any requests? Let me know.
Until next time, remember, life is short- do you.
