Do you let perfectionism get in the way of getting stuff done?
It’s so easy to get caught up in the idea that everything has to be perfect. You only get one chance to make a good first impression right?
But consider this.
The more decisions you make the more chance you have of making the right decision.
The more chances you take the more chance you have of ‘getting lucky’. In fact, most people who are overnight successes spend years getting there.
But if you keep doing the work and stopping short of getting it out there then you are selling yourself short. Yes, it has to be right, and yes, it has to be on brand. Yes, you only get one chance to make a first impression. But you know what? That doesn’t mean it has to be perfect before you hit publish or go live. It’s better to put something flawed out into the world than to do nothing. Sure, people may pick up on that ‘I’ that wasn’t dotted. But at least they’re talking about you and your biz. And the odds are most people didn’t notice the I. And if they did? Well, the probably can relate. We’re all flawed after all.
So get it done and get it out there. Don’t waste hours, weeks or months polishing and refining.
Progress Not Perfection. You were born to be real, not to be perfect.
